What Should You Do After You Lost Weight?

by Judith Dezso

You should consider the following as a check list:

Weight loss is a stressful process for your organism; it is a time of hunger, a willing loss of resources that uses more energy than it gets from the outside.

Your body reacts with 2 defence mechanisms: starts burning down material and puts to better use all the nutrients it can get from food.

Loosing weight without work out and good diet is a very unfortunate association... Your body will start burning down the building blocks from your muscles and you will be tired and weak before you lost even 1 lbs. of fat.

After losing weight your body might be starved for nutrients so you have to be extra careful with what you eat. Toxins usually build up in our body and the natural way to cleanse ourselves is by eating more vegetable fibres and drinking at least 2 litres of water every day!

Working out is another important routine you need to have. This not only keeps you in shape, but helps blood deliver oxygen to faraway places in our body. 1 hour a day might be hard to achieve, but at least 3 workout sessions per week are recommended.

  • Maintain a healthy well balanced diet even after losing weight.
  • Try to avoid mental and physical stress.
  • Avoid toxins which are mostly found in: soft drinks, junk food or sweets just to name a few.
  • Try to eat natural antioxidants and minerals which have been lost during your workout. You find these in fresh fruits.

Mistakes that people do after losing weight:

  • Returning to the old unhealthy diet, in this case you will accumulate more weight in less time because of greater absorption of the nutrients and acceleratedmetabolism. You need to let your body reset it's weight sensor to your desired weight! This might be even harder than losing weight.
  • "A well deserved pause" is deserved indeed but will actually do you harm by gaining weight
  • Stay away from supplements if you can have a good diet. Whatever mother nature has in its stores for us it will suffice! Excess is not good whichever way you take it.

So keeping track of what you eat and what you do will keep you healthy and have a good effect on your life, live balanced and happy!
