There is nothing like being prepared in mind, body and spirit when you decide to enter the dating arena.

Indoor Bike Trainers: The Perfect Confidence Builder

Bike trainers are compact racks that you attach your free-standing bicycle to. They take up very little space and are portable. You can exercise in almost any room of the house.

HIIT (high intensity interval training) is an interval training method used by professional athletes around the world. You may be familiar with interval training such as combining walking and sprinting to build your heart rate.

HIIT works with just about any exercise that will get your heart rate up. You can use it with walking, running, jogging, sprinting, gardening and, best of all, cycling.

An example of a Cycling Interval workout would be:

  • 10 minute warm-up of easy spinning.
  • 10 minutes of alternating 10 seconds 'all out' effort with 20 seconds of easy spinning.
  • 10 minute warm-down of easy spinning.

You will want to consult with your doctor before trying any new exercise program. If you are new to interval training, you might want to begin your routine with half the duration.

For example, a good Beginning Routine might be:

  • 5 minute warm-up of easy spinning.
  • 5 minutes of alternating 5 seconds 'all out' effort with 10 seconds of easy spinning.
  • 5 minute warm-down of easy spinning.

Then work your way up to 30 minutes as you grow in strength and endurance.

The advantages to Interval training over steady cardio is in your after-exercise effects. For hours after your warm-down, your body continues to burn unwanted fat for proven weight loss.

The confidence you gain in yourself as you continue with your routine is an added bonus.

Another advantage to using bike trainers for your exercise routine is that you can begin your training no matter how fit or unfit you are and at any time of the day. Weather suddenly becomes no obstacle at all.

And once you're buff, you can take your bike on the road performing the same 30 minute exercises.
